YaYa Records & Publishing is an independent Dutch record label and music publisher that has taken care of over 300 albums, EPs and single releases by artists, songwriters and composers from various backgrounds during the past few years. As a publishing company, YaYa believes songs will linger on long after a decade has gone, so we are always on the lookout for evergreens in a fast changing industry. Our catalogue includes multiples hits in a variety of styles which are used in movies, commercials, TV shows and series.
YaYa Records & Publishing is the home of artists like Marcel Kapteijn (former Ten Sharp member, vocalising the hit “You”), OXALIS (a Dutch downtempo producer duo), Funky Fruit (a guitar and tropical house producer in the style of Deepend, Younotus and Robin Schulz), and Mocean (an indie-electronic artist who has just released his first two singles, featuring the Spanish singer and hit-songwriter Kirsa Moonlight).
A Singer’s Singer
By many considered as a genuine singer’s singer, the versatility of Marcel Kapteijn is well-known. After his world wide hit You with Ten Sharp, he recorded many songs of a different colour – always with that typical Marcel Kapteijn sound. At this moment he is touring with the renowned jazz-virtuoso Boelo Klat on piano, playing their album Magnolia, while every now and then he’s also to be heard accompanied by the Raindogs with his acoustic sets.
Be sure to check out his entire catalogue (which might surprise you in a very positive sense!) if you can’t wait for his wonderful upcoming solo track No More Hate.
After his debut Gimme has reached over 500.000 streams on Spotify alone, The Dutch producer Funky Fruit joined forces with Simmy Singh on the viola (Kygo, Coldplay) and Cass Irvine (Loud Luxury, Deadmau5) for his second guitar-house track Spiritual. The track was well-received and within a few days it appeared on dozens of playlist throughout the world. Already working on follow-ups, 2020 might very well become a fruitful year for this versatile Dutch newcomer.
